Purple cake!
Well.. I was trying to find an amazing vanilla cake recipe and had to make a cake to try it out and I found one that is pretty wonderful. It is one of those cakes where you can only eat one slice at a time cause its that rich and yummy! lol But I tried out a new decoration border and just used my imagination and came up with this cake...I think its really pretty and hoping a client will want one like this eventually!

Bed Cake ;o)
This cake was soo much fun. This cake was for a pure romance party. I just made a normal 13x9 cake and then cut it a little to make the shape of the bed. Used a tip 104 to do the dust ruffle and then did all the clothes free hand. The hardest part was getting the symbol/lettering right on the cake. All the women loved it, oh and it was a new recipe. Its the chocolate cake recipe on the back of the Hershey's Unsweetened Cocoa box. Its called something like "perfect chocolate cake" its a very easy cake to make and is very moist :o)

Fall and Halloween!
So I had a chance to make a fall cake and cupcakes this month. I tried out a new recipe for an Romanian Apple Spice cake. And oh my gosh it made my house smell AMAZING! I like the fall cake but it kinda reminds me of something that I would see on Cinderella :o)

first time for everything...
Alright..so it happened. I got ditched on a cake. I worked SOOOO hard on a replica louis vuitton present cake and cupcakes. They looked AMAZING ..well to me since I dont use fondant I think they were pretty damn good lol. So she stood me up, no phone call no email no NOTHING. I am so pissed and was totally rethinking this at home cake business crap because now she has made me not trust anyone. Yeah..yeah..that was probably my monthly visitor talking and when I came to my senses I realized from now on I have to have a deposit to even start on the cake. That was all my wasted time and ingredients down the drain. I guess at least my hubby and Jeromy had some snacks. So here it is and I have two more cakes due at the end of the month so there will be more pics to come!!

80's Theme Birthday Party
This was a 80's Themed Birthday Party! She wanted cassette tapes, roller skates and ms. pacman. It was a lot of work but the little detail like the laces on the skates and the bow and eyelashes on ms pacman really made them look nice. She was very pleased and that made me so happy. Enjoy!!

Skateboard Cake!!
This was for a 14 year old guy who likes skateboarding and the GIRL skateboards. This was a really fun cake to make. I will be making the axels for the wheels a little longer next time but other then that I think it turned out pretty great! Everyone loved it. I also used fruit by the foot rolled up for the wheels which in person looked SOO freaking cool.

Cake for Kellies Girls!
This was a technique I have been wanting to try for a while now! The stripes down the sides were really pretty I think, the only thing to work on is that steady hand and making sure they are straight. Other then that it looks pretty good to me!

Victorian Cake
So I had some of the colors left over from Madysen's Lady Bug cake so I decided to make another cake for hubby and my dad and the kids. I did a swag along the sides with rose buds at every point. Then a dot border and a pretty cluster of flowers in the middle. Turned out okay, the cluster of flowers didnt come out how I wanted but theres always next time!

Lady Bug Cake/Cupcakes!
This cake was so much fun also! Madysen's mom Kellie gave me a plate from the birthday theme to replicate onto the cake and cupcakes and at first I didnt like the color that I came up with. But surprisingly the color matched the plastic plates she had and the theme of the table so well. Madysen loved her little cake so much she wouldnt let anyone cut into it!!

Purse Cake!
This cake was so much fun to do! It is a purse *obviously* Next time I try this cake out, I am going to try to find this edible silver paint you can put on the detail to make it look like clasps etc.. to bring out the detail I put into the purse. Also hubby had a good idea and said next time I should make the bottom of the purse fatter to make it look more realistic. *like theres stuff in it*

Father's Day!
Father's Day Cake I made for my dad. He wanted a chocolate cake with blue because thats his favorite color! My husband pointed out that I made the vines too thick on the cake and I agree, so with the next cake you can see how I adjusted the size of the vines.

Okay, so this was the first cake I have ever done. It made me really feel like with some classes this could be something I can get better at!! I got the idea off betty crocker. Its a half sheet cake with the flip flops on the top, and I used these airhead candy stripes as the thongs on the sandals.
